Fast forward to our big day, Simon & Kiana were absolutely incredible. They ran almost every shot past us, giving us directions throughout, while somehow blending completely into the background.
The weather wasn’t on our side for our formal photos so we collectively made the decision to take the formal photos indoors but they turned out to be the thing of DREAMS. STUNNING. “Having two of them was brilliant because they could capture different perspectives and many more photographs than one person could manage. All of our guests loved them and commented on how brilliant they were, and we loved chatting with them and having a cheeky Tequila shot! Simon and Kiana sent a preview gallery the next day which we were so happy with, it was such a thoughtful gesture meaning we could immediately share some photos with family and on social media. Not only are they amazing photographers, but they’re wonderful people too. Much like other parts of the wedding, we booked Simon and Kiana well over a year before our wedding. I feared some people had forgotten about us. No such fear with these two! They kept in touch with us throughout and are lightening quick when responding to any of your questions. They’re a lovely married couple themselves and have obviously been to many a wedding, so they’ve also got a wealth of advice, that you’d be daft not to take advantage of.
My husband and I don’t have many pictures together from our 10 year relationship, because we’re not comfortable in front of the camera. So, Simon and Kiana suggested an engagement session. Before the day, the communication with us was brilliant and ensured that the day went smoothly managing to capture all parts of day from the preparation all the way through to first dance. '‘The moment we saw Simon and Kiana's instagram we knew they were who we wanted to photograph our wedding. All the photos looked natural and fun loving! When we got in contact with them, we loved how we felt instantly relaxed about everything. They were really keen to get to know us as a couple. They set up a face to face meeting and a couple of zoom chats as well to spend time getting a feel for how we wanted our day to look and any details we wanted to capture specifically. Our engagement shoot was very enjoyable and we also got some lovely pictures of Ruby, our dog. We felt more prepared for the day and more comfortable in front of the camera. “As soon as I saw Simon and Kiana's work, I knew I wanted to book them for my wedding...luckily my hubby-to-be agreed!
They were great from the first chat, making us feel at ease and explaining how they work and how naturally they shoot weddings - one of the reasons we wanted to book them as we do not like being in-front of the camera!
They were both fantastic on the day - so friendly and added to the vibe of the day. They stuck out the freezing cold weather to get us some great outdoor shots, even giving up some of their "snack-up and back-up time" to go out for some extra shots before it got dark!
We got a handful of sneak peeks the evening of the wedding which were just amazing (even Matt couldn't shut up about the confetti first-dance shot!) and made us so excited to receive the rest. We got our whole album ridiculously quickly as well.

From the moment we first visited our venue and they showed us photos which was produced by Simon & Kiana, we knew we had to have them. They had the exact style we wanted with lots of natural photos and capturing those precious moments without it being too posed. Tom hates photos so the engagement/pre wedding shoot was a great way to meet Simon and Kiana and we soon realised it wasn’t ever going to be awkward. They are so easy going and chilled. We took our dog to the engagement session and the photos they got of her (& us of course) were incredible. I was so happy we had them booked and couldn’t wait for the wedding!
On the wedding day, Simon & Kiana were amazing. They knew exactly the shots we wanted - particularly the sunset ones and got them waaaay better than I’d ever envisioned! “There isn’t really anything I can write which will give justice to how grateful I am, for Kiana and Simon. After having been messed around during Covid and having to change our date 3 times, they stepped in and made a stressful situation, an easier one. From the first message to the last one delivering our photo gallery, they have been so lovely. So understanding and so supportive. I hate being in front of a camera and due to having a baby only a year before, was so self conscious, but they made me feel so comfortable. Both Kiana and Simon have a knack of being able to make you feel like they’re just part of the wedding party, having fun and taking a few snaps, which made me feel so at ease. In all honesty, I wasn’t expecting to like myself in the photos (not because of their photography abilities, but because of the way I’d changed postpartum), I was just wanting to have those memories captured with my family and friends. But, unexpectedly for me, I love the pictures. I don’t just love the pictures of my friends and family, but I love the pictures of me too. Loving the pictures of me in them was something I was anxious wouldn’t happen. They subtly directed me and eased me in to the whole “picture taking process” which I was so nervous about. “Before we started planning any part of our wedding, we just knew we wanted Simon and Kiana to capture it all. And what an amazing job they did! When we first met them to get to know them and their style, they were so warm, friendly and easy-going - exactly the type of photographers we wanted as we weren't very comfortable in front of the camera. That was until we had our engagement shoot which just felt like a stroll in the forest with old friends.
